Nottingham Forest are reportedly ready to up their offer for their top striker target this summer, according to reports.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the City Ground with a late Antoine Semenyo goal cancelling out Chris Woods’ opener.
Forest have signed Elliot Anderson, defender Nikola Milenkovic, forward Ramon Sosa and Portugese star Jota Silva.
Now, the East Midlands club are understood to be keen on adding a new striker to their team before the summer deadline and the club are ready to make a second offer for their top target.

Forest ‘preparing second bid’ for Santiago Gimenez
Sources have told HITC that Nottingham Forest have made an offer of €25million (£21 million) for Santiago Gimenez and are in talks to try and agree a deal with the Rotterdam giants.
Earlier this summer, we reported that Spurs had made Feyenoord’s Gimenez their number-one target before they signed Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for £65 million.
HITC is told that Feyenoord are not keen on selling Gimenez at this point of the window, but it is believed that the player is open to the idea of moving to England and the Premier League.
According to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Forest made an opening bid for the forward but it was rejected with Feyenoord seeking €40 million-45 million to sanction his sale this summer. The report says the Eredivisie side’s request could be lowered as we get closer to deadline day.
AS also goes on to claim that Forest could be ready to make an offer in the ‘next few days’ which could be closer to the Dutch side’s demands.
Santiago Gimenez could be the signing of the summer
The Mexican striker was criticised by his father during the Copa America but if Forest could pull off a deal for Gimenez this summer, it would be an outstanding deal.
Gimenez was superb for Feyenoord, who was managed by Arne Slot, with the Mexican scoring 26 goals in all competitions. He was hailed as “fantastic” by Feyenoord icon Mario Been.
The Mexican netted a brace against PEC Zwolle to carry on that fine form from the previous season and Forest adding a goalscoring sensation like Gimenez, could be key for the club’s hopes of remaining in the Premier League come next May.
