Liverpool teenager Remi Savage has announced his departure today as he prepares to leave for Newcastle United.
The Reds have seen the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones emerge in their first team setup in recent times, but not all youngsters can realise that dream.
Ethan Ennis looks set to move on having visited Chelsea last week, whilst Savage has now confirmed he is leaving.
Savage confirms emotional Liverpool exit
19-year-old defender Savage played in 19 Premier League 2 games last season, playing mostly as a centre back or left back.
Born and bred in Liverpool, Savage has now decided to leave at the end of his contract despite being offered a new one to stay at Anfield.
Savage posted a heartfelt goodbye to Liverpool, thanking everyone at the club for helping him grow on and off the pitch, getting him ready for this next move.
The likes of Curtis Jones, Rhys Williams, Layton Stewart, Billy Koumetio, Paul Glatzel, Harvey Elliott and Jake Cain all sent good luck messages to Savage as he prepares to join a new club.

Savage heading for Newcastle
The Athletic reported last week that Savage is turning down Liverpool’s new deal because he’s heading to join Newcastle United.
It’s stated that Newcastle will be paying £250,000 in compensation to sign Savage, seemingly viewing him as one for the future.
Savage’s message tonight is the next step towards him joining the Magpies, with the deal surely set to go through imminently.
