Ethan Ennis may not be a huge name at Liverpool, but he is now seemingly on the verge of leaving Anfield for a move to Chelsea.
The Reds will have many young talents wanting to break through at Anfield, just as the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones have done.
Not everybody can enjoy that success though, and it looks like Ennis has decided to move on in search of success elsewhere.
Ennis to leave Liverpool for Chelsea?
This one seems to have come out of nowhere, but midfielder Ennis looks to be on his way out of Liverpool.
The 16-year-old talent has posted a photo on his Instagram story from Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, seemingly ahead of a move to West London.
There is no confirmation or even rumours of this move yet, but the Instagram message seemed to suggest the deal is close.
Who is Ethan Ennis?
Ennis had a big moment back in March, as he came on as a 64th minute substitute against for Liverpool’s Under-18’s against Sutton United.
He smashed a hat-trick as a substitute to spark real excitement about his potential – but he’s now choosing to leave Anfield.
The Secret Scout claimed earlier this month that Manchester United were trying to sign Ennis, but it’s Chelsea who appear to have won the race.
UPDATE: There have been suggestions on Twitter that Ennis is merely considering his options and hasn’t signed with Chelsea just yet, but the Blues appear to be huge favourites right now after his trip to Cobham.
