Christopher Nolan’s latest movie, The Odyssey, inspired the Boston Celtics to a new poster.

The Boston Celtics have made it clear that the franchise sees Jayson Tatum as its outright leader after trading Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers.

As a result, all eyes will be on Tatum to see if he can really lead the Celtics to a deep postseason run without the help of Brown.

NBA fans call out Boston Celtics for making ‘The Anomaly’ poster for Jayson Tatum

Tatum has earned several nicknames throughout his career, but ‘The Anomaly’ has always been viewed as a rather weird one for the 28-year-old.

Well, the Celtics social media team doesn’t seem to care about that as they recently posted a ‘The Anomaly’ poster inspired by Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey.’

The poster went viral on X, but for all the wrong reasons, as NBA fans brutally called out this stunt.

“This is getting really embarrassing,” a fan wrote. While another added, “You guys aren’t helping the Tatum corny discourse.”

“Bro, not even the MVP of his own team until y’all traded Jaylen lmao,” a third fan stated.

“Bro, last time Tatum did a movie tie-in, he tore his Achilles,” a fourth fan pointed out. While a fifth fan simply asked, “Who calls him the Anomaly?”

It’s safe to say that most Celtics fans didn’t like the poster, but it did reach 2.4 million views in a matter of hours. So, it certainly went viral.
