Brighton and Hove Albion have uploaded a video on YouTube entitled Bissouma on Summer Speculation after consistent links to both Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months.

It’s no secret that the Malian is one of the most coveted midfielders in the Premier League, with the Gunners and the Reds both having a serious look at the Brighton star.

However, Bissouma says that he’s not paid much notice to the speculation, but he did state that his time will come to leave Brighton and that he wants to play Champions League football.

What’s been said?

Bissouma addressed speculation about his future.

“It’s really important for me just to play football. For the rest I have an agent, that’s his job. I just play football. When you play football you have to go step by step. If I didn’t go this summer maybe it’s because it’s not my time to go. When my time will come it’s my time, but I’m happy in Brighton and I’m happy to play football. My dream is like every player, I want to play in the top league, the Champions League, I want to win Championships, maybe the World Cup with my national team as well,” Bissouma said.

Bad news for Arsenal

As much as Arsenal may be keen on Bissouma, this may not bode well for the Gunners.

Bissouma seems to be adamant that he wants to play at the top level and in the Champions League, but sadly, Arsenal can’t offer him that right now.

Of course, it’s early days in the season and anything could happen, but it’s not insane to suggest that Arsenal won’t be playing in the Champions League next season and it’s hard to see them returning to Europe’s top table anytime soon.

Liverpool may have a better chance of signing Bissouma than Arsenal.
