Arsenal look set to make a few signings in the January transfer window – possibly Mykhaylo Mudryk – as Mikel Arteta aims to keep his side’s momentum going.

The Gunners currently sit top of the Premier League – two points above Manchester City – and need a few additions to compete with the squad depth Pep Guardiola has at his disposal.

Edu and Arteta seem to have identified a few targets, so let’s take a look at what Arsenal’s XI could look like after January…

Mudryk starts, Tielemans joins Arsenal

Well, it seems Arteta is keen to get his hands on Shakhtar Donetsk wonderkid Mudryk before he becomes unobtainable.

Calciomercato believe the Gunners have already submitted a £53m bid for the Ukraine international, and are awaiting a response from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Arteta already has a tremendous attack with Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus all shining, but we can definitely see Mudryk starting if he does arrive in January.

As Guardiola has shown, squad rotation is key. Arteta will be wary of burning out Martinelli or Saka, who will be tired after their respective World Cup campaigns, and have already played plenty of football this season.

Elsewhere, Voetbal Primeur believe Arsenal already have an agreement to sign Youri Tielemans in the summer of 2023.

The article specifically mentions a summer move, which is when the Belgian’s contract expires, but if Arsenal find themselves without Granit Xhaka or Thomas Partey through injury, the deal could be brought forward.

Over at Juventus, the Italian giants remain determined to sign Gabriel Magalhaes according to Tutto Mercato Web, despite the Brazilian recently signing a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

We would be surprised if a move materialises, but if it does, the South American could be replaced by Evan Ndicka.

According to the Evening Standard, the Eintracht Frankfurt No.2 is wanted by Arteta, with his contract set to expire in July – as a result, he can be signed for just £7m in January.

If these three arrive at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal will have an even better chance of finishing the campaign with some silverware.
