Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will reportedly suffer a definitive blow in their quest to sign AC Milan target Charles De Ketelaere this week.

Leeds and Arsenal want Charles De Ketelaere

Belgian publication HLN reported this month that Leeds have made an offer for Club Brugge forward De Ketelaere, who is wanted by AC Milan as well and prefers a move to the Italian champions.

Italian outlet CMW also claimed this month that Arsenal and Lyon are keen on the 21-year-old forward, while Southampton have also been linked with the youngster and so have Everton.

CM reported last week that De Ketelaere has an agreement in principle with Milan over a five-year contract.

AC Milan to win race

And now TMW are reporting that Milan plan to close a deal with Club Brugge for the youngster with an offer of €30 million (£25.44 million) plus bonuses.

De Ketelaere, who scored 14 goals in the Jupiler Pro League for Club Brugge last season, reportedly wants a transfer to Milan.

So, if the Italian champions are able to strike a deal with Club Brugge, then they will win the race for De Ketelaere.

Leeds and Arsenal could miss out on one of the best young players in European football at the moment.
