Gazzetta Dello Sport claim – as per TMW – that Southampton have joined Leeds and Arsenal in the race to sign Club Brugge attacker Charles De Ketelaere – with the Saints ready to bid a ‘rich offer’ and a ‘super salary’.
De Ketelaere, 21, is a priority for Leeds according to The Athletic. It comes after the Belgium international had a hand in 28 goals last season – helping Brugge win a third consecutive Jupiler League title.
Leeds have tabled an offer. A report from Belgian outlet HLN say Leeds have offered £30million plus add-ons. However, De Ketelaere is not said to be interested in a move to Elland Road – preferring AC Milan.

Reports earlier this week said Arsenal have also thrown their hat into the ring for De Ketelaere. Meanwhile, Gazzetta now say Southampton want him – and have the cash to back up their interest in the striker.
Southampton have joined Leeds and Arsenal in De Ketelaere race
You would have to say, of the four clubs, Southampton are least likely to land the Belgian. Arsenal are in Europe and in with a shot of Champions League qualification next term. MIlan have just won the Serie A title.
Leeds are a huge club and given the signings they have made – Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and soon-to-be Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra – there is excitement at Elland Road. They are ahead of the Saints.
But a move to Southampton would not be the worst move in the world. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are probably the best Premier League in terms of introducing youth and De Ketelaere would be first choice.
