Italian outlet CMW say Milan are still pushing to sign Club Brugge attacker Charles De Ketelaere – but also report that Arsenal now want the Leeds United target, as well as Alexandre Lacazette’s Lyon.
De Ketelaere, 21, has thrown his name onto the radar of numerous European heavyweights this summer after 28 goal involvements for Brugge last season. He helped his boyhood side win a third consecutive league title.
Reports last week said that Leeds are ready to shatter their club-record transfer of Rodrigo to sign the Belgium international – but Milan have always proved stern competition. Now, Leeds have two others to fend off.
- Newcastle and Tottenham want Leeds star, but Elland Road is his best move
- Robin Koch an unsung hero at right-back in Leeds’ final games of 21/22
The latest report states that Arsenal and Lacazette’s Lyon are also in the race to sign De Ketelaere, who is likely to cost a huge £30million. A player Radja Nainggolan said should leave Brugge this summer.
Arsenal want Leeds target De Ketelaere
De Ketelaere is a signing that any Premier League club could make. Anyone in the bottom half would be a signing a player that instantly improve them. Those pushing for Europe would get a brilliant rotational option.
But you could also see the best clubs in the country signing De Ketelaere. A player with extreme potential that could become one of Europe’s best strikers. Where is his best move? Milan will be very tempting.
Champions League football, Serie A winners. Lyon not so much, though he would be first choice, as he would be at Leeds. Arsenal would see him rotated. Big decision for De Ketelaere? Bigger club, or bigger game time?
