Tottenham Hotspur began pre-season with a bang as they thrashed Scottish Premiership side Hearts 5-1 on Wednesday.
Ange Postecoglou was returning to Scotland for the first time since he left Celtic for Spurs, and he picked up where he left off.
The Greek-born Australian dominated during his time at Celtic and that dominance was on display again for Tottenham‘s first pre-season game of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Several young stars were picked, including highly-rated teenager Mikey Moore – sources have told HITC that Tottenham remain confident of keeping Moore despite Real Madrid & PSG’s interest.
The 16-year-old got on the scoresheet and was understandably delighted to do so, with Brennan Johnson, Will Lankshear, Djed Spence and an own goal also getting in on the action.
You can understand the Spurs fans being pretty excited by what lies ahead because they made huge improvements last term.
What gets them off their seat the most is the style of play that is on show by Postecoglou because it is one of the best in the whole country.
You are guaranteed goals galore and you wouldn’t be surprised if that becomes a common theme as pre-season continues.
Nonetheless, one player the supporters are hoping to see more of next season is new boy and much-talked-about teenager, Lucas Bergvall.
The 18-year-old featured against Hearts and took to Instagram after making his unofficial Tottenham debut.
In the comments section of Bergvall’s IG post, fellow youngster Moore applauded his teammate for his first outing in Lilywhite colours.

One thing is for sure, if they are good enough, then Postecoglou will give them a chance because he isn’t afraid to make those big calls.
Everyone should rightfully be excited by what’s ahead because their selection of young stars and the talent on show is pretty tasty – Spurs fans were all saying the same thing about Moore’s performance.
