Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose limped off during a 0-0 draw with Sunderland last night.

Mauricio Pochettino has delivered a concerning fitness update on Danny Rose, after the full-back was taken off during Tottenham Hotspur’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last night (Football.London).

Rose limped off the Sunderland pitch after damaging his knee in a tackle with an opposition player.

The England international will now face scans later today, with Pochettino seemingly anxious to find out how serious the problem is.

“We will assess tomorrow,” he said. “In a tackle he twisted his knee. After that I cannot say more, we need to look at it tomorrow.”

Ben Davies came on after the injury last night, and while the Welshman remains a solid defensive option, he does not provide the same attacking quality as Rose.

Tottenham could only pick up a 0-0 draw with Sunderland last night, and they did not create much during the encounter against the Premier League’s bottom side.
