Tottenham Hotspur only narrowly got past Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told the Daily Mail that he is reconsidering naming weakened sides in the FA Cup, after his team only narrowly made it past Wycombe Wanderers in the fourth round.

Tottenham made a number of changes when they took on the League Two side at White Hart Lane on Saturday, but it almost backfired.

Wycombe nearly pulled off the shock of the round, as they came to Spurs’ ground and took the lead twice.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side went into a 2-0 lead before half-time, and then were 3-2 up in the closing stages.

However, Spurs just about turned things around, when late goals from Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son ensured that they progressed.

Pochettino was not pleased with his side’s performances after the match, and when asked whether he would name a stronger team in the fifth round, the Argentine boss hinted that was now a possibility.

“We will see,” Pochettino said. “It’s not clear. You need and we need and the fans need to understand we cannot always play the same team, the same players, because they are not machines. They are human.”

Tottenham will find out who they have drawn in the fifth round, when the draw takes place later this evening.
