United agree personal terms with Chidoze Obi-Martin

Sources have told HITC that United have agreed personal terms in principle with Chidoze Obi-Martin ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford from Arsenal.

Obi-Martin was called up to Arsenal’s squad for the Champions League against Sevilla and the Dane has certainly made an impact for the Gunners.

HITC can confirm that Obi-Martin visited Carrington this week and we are told he was very impressed with what was presented to him and United believe the player is heading to Old Trafford.

However, despite this confidence that is emanating from Old Trafford that they are about to sign the 16-year-old forward, Obi-Martin has yet to put pen to paper on a deal with the Red Devils and Arsenal are yet to give up in their attempts to keep the teenager in North London.

Despite United’s confidence that they are about to sign the Danish forward, there is interest from other Premier League clubs, too.

Newcastle and Tottenham among sides keen on forward

Sources have told HITC that there is interest from other Premier League clubs as well as United with Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea keen.

There is also understood to be major interest from abroad with both German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund looking to lure him to the Bundesliga.

Obi-Martin has made headlines for his performances for Arsenal’s academy sides as he netted 10 goals in one game against Liverpool for the under-16 side.

As well as this, the Danish striker scored seven goals for Arsenal’s under-18 side in a 9-0 victory over Norwich City and the 16-year-old looks to be an exciting prospect.
