- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Manchester United have learned the extent of Leny Yoro’s injury that he has sustained during pre-season.
Manchester United confirmed the signing of Leny Yoro two weeks ago with the French teenager turning down Real Madrid in the process as the Spanish giants never stumped up the cash for the 18-year-old.
Yoro made his debut against Rangers in pre-season and looked impressive but the French teenager had to be substituted against Arsenal after appearing to sustain an injury.
HITC can now confirm the extent of the problem suffered by Leny Yoro which will be a big blow for the Red Devils.

United learn Leny Yoro injury extent
Sources have told HITC that Yoro is set to miss the start of the season for United, which includes a crunch game against Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
HITC can confirm that Yoro has broken a bone in his foot and is looking at a minimum of 6-8 weeks out injured.
This will come as a huge blow for the Red Devils, who had a plethora of injury problems to deal with last season, not least to Yoro’s potential centre-back partner Lisandro Martinez.
If the prognosis is correct, Yoro would miss the Community Shield game against Manchester City as well as Premier League matches against Fulham, Brighton, Liverpool, Southampton and potentially Crystal Palace on the 21st of September.
United always planned on signing two centre-backs this summer but this news could well accelerate the club’s attempts to add a second name to their options in the backline.

United remain in talks for De Ligt
Sources have told HITC that United remain in talks with Bayern Munich over the potential signing of Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt.
HITC had previously reported that De Ligt was agitated that his move to United had not been completed but talks are understood to be ongoing.
Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite was also attracting interest from United but the Toffees demanded £75 million for the Englishman.
With Yoro set for a significant amount of time on the sidelines, you wonder if this could speed up United’s attempts to add a second centre-back this summer transfer window.
