Federico Chiesa has been told that he could become a very important player for Liverpool once he completes his move to Anfield.
Liverpool have yet to make an outfield signing in the 2024 summer transfer window with the Merseyside club hoping to be in the Premier League title race this season under the Dutchman Arne Slot.
Earlier this week, Liverpool completed the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia with the Georgian goalkeeper set to remain at the La Liga side until the summer of 2025.
However, Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Italian winger Federico Chiesa, who looks set to leave Juventus for a move to the Premier League.

Ivan Zazzaroni says Chiesa could become ‘truly important’ for Liverpool
Yesterday afternoon, Chiesa sent a goodbye message to the Juventus fans as his move to Liverpool looks to be reaching the final stages and the Italian winger is seemingly on his way to Liverpool for his medical.
During the “Maracana” program on Tuttomercato Radio, the director of the Corriere dello Sport, Ivan Zazzaroni, gave his thoughts on Chiesa’s impending move to Anfield.
“He is very happy. His dream was the Premier League,” Zazzaroni said. “When he was approached by Roma he said he only wanted Inter or Milan in Italy.
“However, he has truly fulfilled his dream of playing in England. For me he has great potential and if he learns to train with others he can become a truly important player.”
Chiesa has had injury problems but there is no doubting his quality and he could be an interesting attacking option for the Reds.
Chiesa keen on Liverpool move
Earlier this summer, we reported that Newcastle United and Tottenham were in talks over a deal for Chiesa but it is now Liverpool who are closing in on a deal.
Whilst Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi never seemed entirely convinced of Liverpool – opting in the end to stay put at boyhood club Real Sociedad – Chiesa has been impressed by the project put forwards to him by sporting director Richard Hughes.
With the fee said to be in the region of £12.5 million, this could prove to be one of the bargains of the summer in the Premier League and he certainly has a point to prove.
