Martin Zubimendi informs Real Sociedad he is staying put
However, HITC has been told by Spanish sources that Real Sociedad now believe that Zubimendi will be staying put at The Anoeta.
We are told that Zubimendi informed Sociedad on Monday that he would not be accepting Liverpool’s offer to move to England.
The 25-year-old midfielder and his representatives held extensive talk with Liverpool, led by sporting director Richard Hughes – who worked hard on the move.
Finances not part of Zubimendi decision
HITC understands that It soon became clear to Hughes and Liverpool that finances were not going to play a major part in any decision, so they made their offer to him based on the project they can offer under new head coach Arne Slot.
