Arne Slot’s Liverpool have yet to make a senior first-team signing this summer with the club seemingly prioritising sales this summer.
After Jurgen Klopp decided to end his nine-year association with Liverpool following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, Arne Slot was the man chosen to replace the German.
As mentioned, sales could well be the priority for Liverpool this summer with HITC understanding that Caoimhin Kelleher is keen on departing the club with the Reds seeking £25 million for the Irishman.
Liverpool midfielder Trey Nyoni has been a key performer for the Reds during pre-season and he could play a vital part in the upcoming campaign.
Another player, however, could be on his way out of the club this summer if reports are to be believed.

Sepp van den Berg ‘reluctant’ to stay at Liverpool
According to reports, Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg has indicated he would be ‘reluctant’ to spend a season sat on the bench backing up Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahim Konate so is eyeing up a transfer this summer.
Liverpool did want a new centre-back this summer with Slot’s side ‘working hard’ to sign Leny Yoro back in June but the French defender eventually ended up at Manchester United.
According to a report from German outlet Kicker, van den Berg is keen on departing Anfield this summer if he is going to be a squad player.
The report states that Wolfsburg are one of those in the mix as they need a central defender and may need to replace Maxence Lacroix, who has indicated he wants to move on in the final year of his deal.
van den Berg’s future unclear amid Bundesliga links
One of the sides that the Dutchman has previously been at on loan is Mainz and the club’s director Christian Heidel has previously claimed the German side would want to sign the defender back.
As for Wolfsburg, Van den Berg is reportedly someone they’ve had their eye on for a long time and remains very popular among those in charge of the German team.
The report goes on to state that van den Berg would like a return to the Bundesliga and this gives Wolfsburg a chance to sign the 22-year-old, who has yet to make any sort of impact at Anfield.
