Inter Milan want to sell Tottenham and Arsenal transfer target, Stefan de Vrij, to a Premier League club, according to a report.

Italian outlet, Calciomercato, has claimed that Inter don’t want a repeat of the Ivan Perisic situation where they lose a key figure for nothing.

Perisic moved to Tottenham this summer and secured a reunion with Antonio Conte on a free transfer – de Vrij could do the same.

But Tottenham’s name isn’t the only one linked with the Holland International because Arsenal’s name has also been thrown into the hat.

It has been suggested that Arsenal could land the 30-year-old in a player-plus-cash deal for Gabriel Magalhaes.

Of course, Arsenal fans would say a big no to that because Gabriel is a key figure of their team that wants to return to Champions League football next season.

But with Spurs scouring the Italian market ever since Conte walked through the doors, it’s understandable why someone like de Vrij’s name could be linked.

WHO WILL TOTTENHAM SIGN AT THE BACK?

It’s pretty clear that Conte is looking to add much-needed depth to his backline ahead of a scheduled-packed season.

Whether it’s de Vrij or someone else, it does seem as though they are looking for that centre-back to come in and provide competition and depth at the back.

But de Vrij’s name isn’t the only one that has been mentioned because Clément Lenglet has been touted as a possible transfer.

The French defender has had a tough time of it at Barcelona, but it seems as though those in north London are offering him a way out.

Although, given Lenglet’s form over the years at the Nou Camp, Spurs have been warned against securing his talents.
