Norwich City are the latest club to be linked with a move for the Sheffield Wednesday striker, who is known to Leeds United’s director of football, Victor Orta.

Some Leeds United fans cannot understand why the Whites are – seemingly – not in for Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes. The Wednesday striker – who is known to Leeds’ director of football Victor Orta, having signed for him at Middlesbrough two years ago – was linked with a season-long loan to Norwich City on Sunday (The Sun).
Leeds are also in the market for a line leader this summer, after Pierre-Michel Lasogga returned to Hamburg at the end of his temporary deal.
And signing a proven Championship marksman such as Rhodes – who, despite a disappointing spell at Wednesday, has averaged close to a goal every two games at that level throughout his career – is top of many Whites followers’ to-do-lists.

Here’s what they’re saying about the 28-year-old on Twitter, amid reports that Leeds have finalised the signing of unproven Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu (Gazzetta dello Sport)…
@csameoldsameold: The €3.5m we are pissing up the wall on Jerry from Carpi would sign Grabban or Rhodes. You can’t seriously suggest we have learned our lessons from this season. S*** signings and Heckaday sacked in November before a reset, Cellino MKII, Radz needs to f*** off.
@lufcdave89: Another s*** striker. Could just get a jordan Rhodes or someone who will score goals in this league….
Rhodes – who has been linked with Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town as well as Norwich – has been kept at bay by the in-form pairing of Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao at Sheffield Wednesday, and could make way as the Owls prepare to welcome back Gary Hooper and Steven Fletcher next season.
Should Leeds join Norwich in targeting Rhodes this summer?
