Leeds United are reportedly set to sign Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Leeds United agreed a €3.5million (£3million) deal for Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu on Saturday.
The Whites endured a miserable second half of the season having started brilliantly under Thomas Christiansen, ad now face a summer of major decisions in the transfer market.
A host of Victor Orta signings may already be offloaded this summer, with at least one new striker needed – but Orta’s latest choice may not be too popular.
Gazzetta Dello Sport report that Leeds struck a €3.5million (£3million) deal with Carpi for striker Jerry Mbakogu on Saturday, with the forward set to sign a four-year deal with the club until 2022.

Mbakogu, 25, had spells with Padova, Palermo, Juve Stabia and Krylia Sovetov, but has made his name with Carpi, hitting four goals and five assists in 15 league games for the Italian side last season.
The Nigerian attacker has notched eight goals and three assists in 27 games in all competitions this term, and has been linked with a move to Leeds since the January transfer window.
Many Leeds fans feel that Mbakogu is another gamble from a foreign league, when Leeds should be ignoring his patchy record in Italy in order to sign a player with more Championship experience.
However, if reports are to be believed, Leeds have gone through with a deal for Mbakogu, and it remains to be seen whether he can prove fans wrong next season and beyond.
