Leeds United made a bid for Midtjylland midfielder Jens Cajuste over the summer – and now he could end up signing for Juventus.
Cajuste has shown real potential during his time with Midtjylland having joined from Orgryte in 2018.
The 22-year-old is an athletic box-to-box player, and his 6ft 2in frame means he is quite the force in midfield.
Cajuste has excelled on the ball too, completing an average of 3.8 dribbles per game in the Champions League last season.
The only player who recorded more? Lionel Messi.
Cajuste seems to have a huge future ahead of him with that skillset, and Leeds tried to get him signed up.
Tipsbladet reported that Leeds offered over £11million for Cajuste during the summer transfer window, but Midtjylland said no.
Fast forward a few months and Cajuste’s potential is attracting huge interest.

Calciomercato claim that Cajuste is a new name in the mix to join Juventus as they look for a new midfielder.
Aaron Ramsey, Weston McKennie and Adrien Rabiot are all being linked away from Juve, so the Italian giants may re-tool their engine room with a move for Cajuste.
Add in that Juventus also want another former Leeds midfield target in Manu Kone, and you can at least say that Leeds are identifying the right players.
Missing out will hurt though, especially if Cajuste ends up becoming a star at Juve rather than with Leeds, as Victor Orta had hoped.
