Rapper Drake took aim at LeBron James once again with another diss while promoting a Nike affiliate brand.
Drake and LeBron have been at odds with each other after LeBron expressed support for rapper Kendrick Lamar during a highly-public feud against Drake.
The Canadian rapper has aimed shots at James multiple times since that 2024 rap feud, using a Nike-affiliated event to mock the man who has a lifetime contract with the brand.
Drake shades LeBron James by promoting a Padel player at NOCTA event
At NOCTA Manor, an exclusive multi-day private retreat hosted by Drake in partnership with Nike, the rapper posed with Spanish padel player Juan Lebrón Chincoa. He used that photo op to take shots at LeBron James with a witty merchandising opportunity.
“The only LeBron I rate is Juan.”
Drake has had to make a public U-turn on his friendship with James after the 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar and James’ support of Lamar at the time.
Drake styled his famous ‘Forever’ music video around high school highlights of James while also having a tattoo of the 41-year-old NBA player on his left arm. which was recently covered up.
James was positively namedropped in multiple Drake tracks like ‘Nonstop’ and ‘Tim Westwood Freestyle’ in the past, but Drake openly dissed LeBron on his 2026 album ‘Iceman’ with songs like ‘Fighting Irish Freestyle’ and ‘Make Them Remember.’

LeBron isn’t the only NBA player Drake turned against due to picking sides during his rap beef with Lamar, as Toronto Raptors legend DeMar DeRozan has also been on the receiving end of Drake’s disses in the last couple of years.
LeBron likely won’t be bothered, as he participated in Drake’s ‘Shabang’ viral trend last month despite the song featuring on the same album with two diss songs aimed at James.
He will be more focused on resolving his current status as an NBA free agent, with the league and its fans patiently waiting to see where LeBron will spend his record-shattering 24th NBA season.
Drake’s NOCTA brand is built in partnership with Nike, so it’s funny that Drake used a NOCTA event to diss the NBA poster boy of Nike, the man with a lifetime contract, LeBron.
