Kyler Murray has apologised to Arizona Cardinals fans following his anticipated departure from the franchise.
The former No. 1 overall pick posted a message on social media after reports emerged that the Cardinals plan to release him at the start of the new NFL league year. Murray spent seven seasons with the team after being drafted in 2019.
His statement reflected on his time in Arizona and addressed the community that supported him throughout his tenure.

In response to the reports, Murray shared a public message on X for the Cardinals fanbase, apologizing for not delivering the results they had hoped for.

Murray was selected first overall in the 2019 NFL Draft following a standout college career at Oklahoma. He quickly became the face of the franchise in his early years.
During his time in Arizona, Murray was selected to two Pro Bowls and signed a lucrative five-year contract extension in 2022.
However, injuries in recent seasons limited his availability, and the Cardinals made just one playoff appearance during his tenure—a loss in the 2021 wild-card round.
Murray leaves Arizona with a 38-48-1 record as the starting quarterback, now set to seek a fresh start elsewhere in the league.
