KSI has never been shy of speaking his mind, whether he’s in a video, the boxing ring or anywhere else.
Ahead of Friday’s Match For Hope charity game in Qatar, the YouTuber with over 17 million subscribers has once again grabbed attention.
His latest comments came during the build-up to an event designed to blend entertainment with football.
They have added an unexpected edge to what is meant to be a light-hearted occasion.
KSI talks up possible boxing clash before Match For Hope
KSI did not hold back when discussing a former Premier League striker he will share the pitch with in Doha.
The outspoken star questioned Diego Costa’s reputation and even suggested settling things in the boxing ring.
“I think Diego Costa is a terrible player. I don’t think he’s good at all. What has he done?” KSI said.
“I can fight as well. KSI vs Diego Costa, I’m here for it!”
The comments immediately stood out, given Costa’s long career at the highest level of European football.
Harry Pinero was quick to add his own contribution to the exchange. “If he dares go through JJ, he’s got me there,” Pinero said, backing KSI.
While no one expects a serious altercation, the remarks have ensured extra attention is firmly on the charity match.
