Chelsea remain active behind the scenes as the club continue to explore high value defensive targets while also quietly moving on from recent signings.

Chelsea are assessing several situations across their squad as planning continues for the remainder of the season and into the summer.

Recent developments include a potential major bid, a confirmed departure, and a decision involving one of the club’s young midfield prospects.

Chelsea ready to break the bank for Jeremy Jacquet

Chelsea are prepared to consider an offer of around €75 million for Stade Rennes centre back Jeremy Jacquet, according to Fichajes.

The 20-year-old has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich and Liverpool, but Chelsea are believed to be in a strong position as they look to strengthen their defence with another long-term addition.

Raheem Sterling exits club silently

Raheem Sterling has left Chelsea by mutual consent, with his departure taking place without a formal club announcement, according to Fabrice Hawkins.

The winger did not feature this season and was no longer part of Chelsea’s long-term plans, bringing a low-key end to his time at Stamford Bridge.

Kendry Paez loan terminated, but Stamford Bridge return unlikely

Chelsea have terminated Kendry Paez’s loan spell at Strasbourg, with the midfielder expected to move on again rather than return to the first team setup, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Ecuador international is likely to be sent out on another loan to Argentinian side River Plate, as Chelsea continue to manage his development away from Stamford Bridge.
