New York Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart were amazed by Argentina’s comeback win against Egypt in the World Cup Round of 16.
Argentina were 2-0 down and heading for a shock World Cup exit before Cristian Romero, Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernandez scored in the final 20 minutes.
NFL legend Tom Brady even compared Argentina’s victory with the New England Patriots’ iconic comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.
Brunson and Hart, who recently won the NBA title with the Knicks, also posted their stunned reactions on social media.

What Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart said about Argentina’s World Cup comeback
Knicks teammates Brunson and Hart have kept a close eye on the World Cup this summer, with the latter being an avid football fan.
They must have both watched Argentina’s Round of 16 clash with Egypt, as they reacted to the comeback in real time.
Brunson posted 10 shocked emojis when Messi equalised in the 83rd minute and “wowwwwwww” after Fernandez’s winner.
Meanwhile, Hart tweeted “Argentina is so cold” and “Messi has ended the GOAT conversation” after the game.
The Knicks forward also described Argentina’s comeback win as the “match of the World Cup.”
The other contenders for that title are England’s win against Mexico and Argentina’s victory over Cape Verde.
Argentina will soon face Switzerland in the World Cup quarter-final in Kansas City on Saturday night.
They will be huge favourites to advance to the semi-final, but as Egypt proved, there are no easy knockout games.
