Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio, with Arsenal and Liverpool also rumoured to be in the race for the Spanish international.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Serie A giants have identified the 26-year-old as a target for next year with Asensio showing now signs of signing a new contract with Madrid, with Juventus now joining quite a stacked list of clubs looking to recruit the versatile playmaker in 2023.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in Asensio as well as Newcastle United and Madrid’s La Liga rivals FC Barcelona, with the winger likely to leave the Spanish capital for free next year if there is no breakthrough with the club to sign the attacker down to a new contract.

With a reported release clause of £593m, Madrid are set to lose out on a huge amount of cash if Asensio leaves for free, and given Juventus’ impressive record of signing players for free, the Premier League target could easily become their latest big-name transfer in 2023.

Indeed, Asensio has shown over the years with Madrid that he can perform on the biggest stages in world football, yet unlike Arsenal or Liverpool, Juventus are in need of a player like the 26-year-old Spain international, with the Italian giants in desperate need for a superstar who can provide world-class moments out of nothing.

Juventus’ misfortunes have been well-documented this season, and with Massimiliano Allegri looking for answers, signing Asensio in 2023 could be an ideal solution for the Italian manager, with Arsenal and Liverpool unlikely to move for the Madrid attacker.

Asensio is more than capable of playing in the Premier League, and a good case could be made that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool could with a player like the Madrid star, yet signing for Juventus next year seems like the perfect move for both the winger and the club involved.

After all, Juventus need something to spark their blunted attack back into life, and Asensio could be that player, with the Spanish star able to play in numerous positions that will benefit Allegri’s side greatly in either the second half of this season or the 23/24 campaign.
