Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named the player who did not play against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Anfield but could be back for the FA Cup tie against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Ibrahima Konate is an important player for Liverpool and has impressed many, including former Tottenham Hotspur defender and Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson.
Konate suffered an injury against Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League last week and did not turn out against Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
Liverpool will take on Sparta at Anfield in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday before facing Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup next weekend.
Ibrahima Konate could be available for Liverpool vs Manchester United
Jurgen Klopp has said that the £36 million (Sky Sports) defender is very likely to be available for the match against United.
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website about Konate: “No, no. Ibou has a chance for United. A good chance.”
My View: Liverpool should start Jarell Quansah vs Manchester United
In my opinion, Liverpool should keep Jarell Quansah in the team against Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend.

Yes, Ibrahima Konate is a better and more experienced defender, but Quansah has done well when he has been called upon.
The 21-year-old was superb against Manchester City this past weekend. He was a rock at the back and also went close to scoring once. Pat Nevin was impressed.
City have a far better and more potent attacking unit than United, and if Quansah could cope with Pep Guardiola’s side, then I do not doubt that he would be fine against Erik ten Hag’s team.
I think that after his impressive performance against City, Quansah deserves to play against United as well.
