Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the 2026 World Cup final, and Donald Trump was part of the post-match trophy celebration.
Trump flew to the New York New Jersey Stadium to watch the game via helicopter and was booed by some fans inside the stadium when he was shown on the big screen.
Following the match, the United States President handed out medals to the Spanish players on the pitch, but then decided to stick around as the winners prepared to lift the trophy.

Donald Trump mocked for staying on stage after World Cup final
The British media have already mocked Trump for remaining on the stage when the Spain players were trying to celebrate.
Meanwhile, the Spanish national team Photoshopped the President out of their photos of the presentation when sharing them on social media.
Now, Jimmy Fallon has mocked Trump on The Tonight Show, suggesting, ‘even your relatives from Thanksgiving knew it was time to go’.
He also made reference to the photoshopping in his comments.
Fallon said: “Trump also helped present the trophy to Spain, but then he looked like he didn’t want to leave the stage during their celebration.
“Did you see this? Watch this. There you go. All right. Yeah. Even your relatives from Thanksgiving knew it was time to go. They go, yeah, yeah.
“Trump looked at the players like, ‘We could Photoshop these guys out later, right?'”
The jokes did not stop there, though, as Spain player Ferran Torres seemed to mock Trump with a ‘Make Spain Great Again’ cap at the World Cup parade.
