Jermaine Beckford has told The Weekend Wrap he would be “so frustrated” if he was Chelsea striker Armando Broja regarding a lack of game time at this early stage – amid reports Leeds and Everton want the £30million-rated forward.
Broja, 20, has returned to Chelsea this summer after a very successful loan period with Southampton last season. The England-born Albania international clocked up nine goals for the Saints in 38 league and cup games during last term.
Speaking earlier this week, CBS reporter Ben Jacobs says both Leeds and Everton want to sign Broja. Whether Chelsea are willing to let Broja go remains to be seen. It might be that they sign a striker first, before letting him leave the club.
Broja was missing from Sunday’s clash against Leeds through injury. But he has made substitute appearances against Everton and Tottenham. Ex-Everton and Leeds striker Beckford says he would be “frustrated” if he was Broja.

“I’d be so frustrated if I was Broja. I’d be so frustrated, he’s a centre-forward. He was out on loan at Southampton last season and did really well. Throw him in at the deep end for the last half four, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Beckford: Broja will be ‘frustrated’ amid Leeds and Everton reports
Broja will not want to simply sit on the bench and get the odd few minutes here and there. The striker has had a taste of being the main man in a Premier League side and he will want that again, in order to continue to further his career.
What will be frustrating is that Chelsea are trying to sign a centre-forward without giving Broja a chance. He deserves a go for a few games at least, given his Southampton form. But that chance may have to come at another club.
