Leeds United are reportedly still in the mix to sign Chelsea prospect Armando Broja, with the Albanian international still likely to depart Stamford Bridge this summer with Everton also interested in the youngster.
According to CBS Journalist Ben Jacobs via GiveMeSport, there is a chance that the Slough-born wonderkid could leave west London, with clubs continuing to look at Broja with Leeds still in the competition to sign the attacker, with the reporter saying: “Everton are also circling around Broja and Leeds United I think will be in the mix as well.”
With Broja absent from Chelsea’s squad this weekend that lost 3-0 to Leeds, the attacker would have no doubt been impressed with what he saw from Elland Road as Jesse Marsch’s side dominated the Blues in one of the best Premier League performances of the season so far.
Indeed, with Leeds in need of a striker to compete for Patrick Bamford as well as cover for the England international should injury problems again arise, Broja is perfect for what the Yorkshire giants need for the new season, with Chelsea reportedly valuing the Cobham academy graduate at £30m.
Whilst there’s a strong chance that Broja could stay with the Blues with the 20-year-old the club’s only senior striker, interest from Leeds could tempt the attacker to leave Chelsea in search of regular football, something the youngster will get at Elland Road even with Bamford fit.
Broja was exceptional for Southampton last season as the forward asserted himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting talents, and for Leeds, the striker could become Marsch’s long-term option to lead the line should the Whites beat the likes of Everton to the youngster’s signature.
Signing Broja could be Marsch’s best move yet as Leeds manager

Marsch has won a lot of critics this summer based on his moves in the market and how he has reacted to losing key players in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, yet signing Broja could be the American’s best move yet as manager of Leeds, with the striker having the potential to complete the Whites’ new-look attack.
With Rodrigo in the form of his life and Brenden Aaronson settling to Premier League football like a duck to water, things are looking up for Leeds, and adding a hungry striker like Broja to the mix might cap off an unreal front-line for the Whites that could this season push for a top-half finish under Marsch.
