The fixtures are out for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign and Arsenal will begin their title charge at home to Wolves.

It’s a tricky opening for the Gunners because their first three away games are against Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

Arsenal are expected to push for the title again and possibly be the only team to challenge Pep Guardiola’s all-dominant side.

But Mikel Arteta is looking to iron out those finer details to get his team over the line because Manchester City are proving to be a very difficult object to move.

No Upcoming Fixtures

This will probably require Arsenal to dip into the summer transfer market and add that extra proven quality to their squad.

A lot of talk has been about the attacking players, including Nico Williams, but defensive players are also being tipped to move to the Emirates.

Sources have told HITC that Arsenal are interested in signing Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, as Jarrod Bowen has stated that ‘I don’t like playing against him’, as he told England’s official YouTube channel.

Guehi starred for England in their opening game of Euro 2024 on Sunday when they beat Serbia 1-0.

Bowen labelled the 23-year-old as ‘clever’ and how he is ‘happy’ that he is performing so well for his team.

Jarrod Bowen praises England star Marc Guehi

“I have played against lots of times when I am upfront and I don’t like playing against him,” said Bowen.

“He’s not a 6ft 5in centre-half. But he is clever and he has got a brain. He is also strong and fast as well. He’s been doing it for years and years. I am happy for him.”

Marc Guehi taking that step up

Crystal Palace ended the season in a strong fashion and secured a top-ten finish under their new manager Oliver Glasner.

A player like Guehi came through the ranks at Chelsea, but he wasn’t given the opportunities, so he had to move elsewhere to make a name for himself.

You feel he is now ready to take make that step up again and play for a team in the Champions League.

Would Guehi start for Arsenal? No, he wouldn’t. But there is talk of Jakub Kiwior, who can play at centre-back, leaving this summer, so if that happens, then a defensive player would need to come in.
