Jamie Redknapp has praised Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he loves how Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is playing with arrogance under manager Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees enjoyed a superb 6-3 home win over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, with Belgian hitman Lukaku hitting four of Everton’s six goals.
Lukaku showed some superb finishing throughout; his first goal came from a lovely one-two before cutting inside to smash a curling strike into the net, and his second was a deft lob over goalkeeper Artur Boruc after an error from Simon Francis.

Lukaku’s hattrick goal saw him play the ball wide before latching on to a cross with a cultured volley, and his fourth came from a bulldozing run through the Bournemouth defence before finishing with his weaker right foot.

His four-goal display saw him rocket to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts, with 16 goals to his name in just 23 Premier League appearances.

Lukaku’s greatest Premier League tally in a season is 18 goals, meaning he should eclipse that this season, and he’s now just one goal behind Duncan Ferguson in terms of Everton’s top Premier League goalscorers, with that record surely heading Lukaku’s way as well this season.
It’s now eight goals in his last eight games in all competitions for Lukaku, prompting major praise from pundit Jamie Redknapp in his column for the Daily Mail.
Redknapp admitted that he finds Lukaku frustrating at times, but he is playing with an arrogance under Ronald Koeman, and praised his aggressive display against Bournemouth on Saturday.
“Earlier in the season I argued that Romelu Lukaku needed to be more aggressive and bully defenders — and that is exactly what he did against Bournemouth,” said Redknapp. “His four-goal blitz means he has seven in his last five games, having scored just three in his previous nine.”

“Despite not playing for a top-four side, Lukaku is always in the running for the golden boot. He can be a frustrating player to watch but I love the way he is playing with such arrogance under Ronald Koeman. It is little wonder that Lukaku’s excellent form has coincided with Everton’s recent revival,” he added.
