Tottenham Hotspur fans will now be looking forward to the new Premier League season following the conclusion of Euro 2024.

Spain beat England in the final of Euro 2024 at Berlin’s Olympiastadion after a late winner by Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal.

Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro was axed from the final Spain squad, but he was delighted with his nation’s victory because it was very much deserved.

Not only did Spain win every game, but they were the only team to consistently play with flair, fearless nature and speed.

That’s why Spain’s record-breaking star Lamine Yamal won Young Player of the Tournament and Manchester City’s Rodri earned the Player of the Tournament.

Winning a major tournament, especially for your country, puts you on the map and beyond.

No Upcoming Fixtures

For some players, such as Rodri and Real Madrid’s Champions League-winning star Dani Carvajal, it’s not needed because they are already at the top.

But for others, it’s pretty clear that this is now the start of a journey and the start of something truly special.

One of them includes Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams, who opened the scoring for Spain against England at the beginning of the second half.

After the final, Jamie O’Hara was told by a fan that Tottenham are going to buy the sought-after winger and he made it clear that he would ‘love’ a player of his calibre under Ange Postecoglou, as he told talkSPORT.

“Jamie, there’s a rumour that Nico Williams is coming to Spurs,” the Tottenham fan told O’Hara.

The former midfielder responded: “Yeah, I would love him, of course. A brilliant player.”

The 22-year-old is exactly the type of winger Postecoglou is looking for and the exact profile of attacker that would elevate the team.

Tottenham’s only issue is that a host of clubs are keen on signing the player and that was before he won Euro 2024, so imagine where his stock is now!

Sources have told HITC that Liverpool and Arsenal remain keen on Williams, but Barcelona are also knocking.

Given what Williams and Yamal have just done at the Euros, then it’s pretty obvious what Barca are going to try to do here because those two could be their future for the next decade.
