Tottenham Hotspur have made huge strides under Ange Postecoglou despite their poor ending to the 2023/24 Premier League season.
To change a team’s style of play in dramatic fashion, go from no Europe to Europa League and all after losing your greatest-ever player is some going.
That’s why Postecoglou deserves credit for turning the Tottenham ship around – although, we will have to wait until next season to really know where the team is at.
As many would have previously seen, Jamie O’Hara isn’t shy to big up Tottenham on the radio or if he is doing TV interviews.
When Spurs were sitting top of the Premier League table after ten games, he was adamant that his team were in a title battle and that they could win English football’s main crown.
But the very next game, everything came crashing down with that defeat to Chelsea and the north London club quickly moved from title battlers to Champions League hopefuls.
Ahead of the new Premier League season in August, O’Hara has gone again and stated that he is ‘excited’ for the club, as he told Sky Sports.
But fans think he is going down the same road of making another embarrassing error, which would just lead the team to fall flat on their face again.
O’Hara was quick to address all of that on Twitter by stating he can be ‘optimistic’ for his team for the first few months of the season, at least.
Tottenham Hotspur next season
“I may say this every season, but I’m always optimistic 😂 ,” said O’Hara. “Until November lol.”

Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou
This is where Daniel Levy needs to step up and make himself count because Postecoglou has brought a feel-good factor to the club.
Spurs have been down this road before. Post-Mauricio Pochettino, they start well with their new managers and then it fades away.
Aside from Nuno Espirito Santo, who only lasted ten matches, Jose Mourinho showed promise, he even had the club at the top at one point, but he was then sacked one week before a League Cup final.
Even Antonio Conte had the team going. Tottenham beat bitter rivals Arsenal to fourth. Everything was looking good, but before you know it, he was ranting and raving after a game against Southampton.
Spurs have to avoid being in that situation with Postecoglou during the next 12 months because recent history suggests that they will falter.
