San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has received messages of support from across the sporting world after suffering an Achilles injury.
Kittle was hurt during the 49ers’ Wild Card Round win over the Philadelphia Eagles, cutting short what had been another standout season.
The 30-year-old shared an emotional message on social media reflecting on the setback and thanking those who reached out to him.
Among those sending words of encouragement were NBA star James Harden and WNBA standout Caitlin Clark.

Kittle’s Instagram post captured both the heartbreak and determination of a player who lives for the game.
“Football sucks sometimes. But I love it,” he wrote. “I love these guys and this team.
“Heartbroken, but have felt so much love and support from everyone reaching out. I’ll be good. Thank you. We aren’t done yet!

“Also, when your team owner is the first person to meet you in the locker room, you know you’re in a special place. Cheers, all my love.”
The message came after tests confirmed Kittle’s Achilles injury suffered during San Francisco’s victory over the Eagles.
While the 49ers advanced to the Divisional Round, the tight end will not feature again in this postseason.
