George Kittle went back to the San Francisco 49ers locker room and requested a bottle of tequila after his Achilles injury.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle reportedly asked for a bottle of tequila moments after suffering an Achilles injury during his team’s 23–19 playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The request came shortly after Kittle was carted off the field in the second quarter, ending his night early in the NFC Wild Card clash.

George Kittle’s request becomes post-game talking point
George Kittle’s request for tequila was granted immediately, with a bottle of Patron sent down from the owner’s suite to the locker room.
The story, first reported by The Athletic’s Diana Russini, quickly spread on social media after she shared the details on X.
“Here’s what I found out: It was Patron tequila. The bottle was sent from the owner from his suite to Kittle after he requested it. That bottle is now empty.”
The 49ers’ veteran tight end, known for his larger-than-life personality, appeared to keep team spirits high even as he faced the possibility of a serious injury.
The team’s locker room reportedly erupted in celebration after the victory — and by the time the night was over, so was the bottle.
49ers await update as Kittle stays upbeat
George Kittle recorded just one reception for six yards before leaving the game, but remained a vocal presence in the locker room.
The 32-year-old five-time All-Pro has been one of the emotional leaders of the San Francisco 49ers throughout the season.
He already missed six regular-season games due to a hamstring injury and has been playing through lingering pain since returning in December.
Despite that, his enthusiasm remains undimmed — even when his post-game recovery reportedly includes tequila.
