Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has taken a dig at Liverpool on Instagram after the match against Jurgen Klopp’s side on Monday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League last night.

Sadio Mane put the Reds in the lead, but a late goal from Diego Llorente saw the Whites pick up a point from the encounter.

Leeds goalkeeper Meslier – who cost the club £5 million in transfer fees, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post – has taken a swipe at Liverpool after the game on Instagram, as shown below.

Leeds are firmly against the European Super League which Liverpool are a part of.

Before the match at Elland Road last night, Leeds unveiled a banner aimed at the Super League and the clubs who are part of it.

Leeds also left a number of T-shirts condemning the European Super League in the visiting team’s dressing room for Liverpool last night, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

It will be interesting to see if the European Super League goes ahead amid all the opposition.
