Noel Whelan has given his take on Leeds United’s draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League on BBC Radio Leeds (9:53pm, April 19, 2021).

Leeds have played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League this evening.

Sadio Mane put the defending Premier League champions in the lead after 31 minutes, but Diego Llorente restored parity for the home team in the 87th minute.

Former Leeds striker Whelan was on co-commentary duty for the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he has given his take on the final result.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds (9:53pm, April 19, 2021): “All credit to Leeds because they came at them. There was a bit of a spell in the first six minutes when Liverpool had that little bit of an edge, but after that, it was all Leeds possession-wise.”
