Jay Bothroyd has told Tottenham Hotspur on Twitter to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager after Brighton and Hove Albion smoked Wolves 6-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Tottenham are still trying to push for Champions League football for next season, but never mind looking up, they might have to look behind them in the race for Europe altogether.
The Seagulls are sitting eighth in the Premier League table, two points behind Spurs and with two games in hand on the managerless side.

Despite Roberto De Zerbi making five changes to his team for their showdown with Wolves yesterday, which saw, on paper, an understrength Brighton side wallop Wolves for six.
It was a serious statement of intent from the European-chasing team and it just adds an extra glow to De Zerbi’s ever-growing managerial game – it is claimed that Daniel Levy has already made contact with the Brighton boss.
Will Brighton keep hold of the 43-year-old in the summer? Well, former Arsenal man Bothroyd has made it clear that if they had ‘any sense’, then Spurs would be adding another Italian manager to their ranks this summer.
DE ZERBI SHOULD STAY AT BRIGHTON
There is every chance that Brighton secure European football next season for the first time in their history, which would be some achievement for the club.
If that happens, then De Zerbi, and his key players, should remain at the club and help Brighton in their European journey next season – he has openly told Tottenham-linked Kaoru Mitoma to stay beyond the summer amid interest.
Plus, there is every chance Spurs aren’t in Europe next season, but Brighton will be, so why swap one thriving pool for one that is on the decline?
