Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been waxing-lyrical about reported Liverpool targets Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho.
Bellingham and Sancho both played starring roles in Borussia Dortmund’s DFB Pokal Final win over the weekend, and it seems as though Wright was truly blown away by what he’d seen from the pair.
Inevitably, their performances, along with Erling Haaland, led to Wright raising questions about their futures.
“When you watch that team and they’ve qualified for the Champions League and won the final, so what does that mean for your likes of Haaland and Sancho now?” Wright asked.
“I get the impression now, the thing is now, do you think this team being a year better, do you think they’ll give it one more year man?”
“With these players, Jude Bellingham, Haaland, Sancho and Reyna, they could meet up every year and say ‘remember when they kept selling players and we stayed that extra year.’ Look at just them three, and you think to yourself, all three of them, especially Bellingham with the way he’s going and Sancho, they’re generational talents.”

Wright raises a very good point here.
Bellingham, Haaland and Sancho all seem as though they’re destined for the very top, but why can’t they reach the pinnacle of football by staying at Dortmund?
They’re all young and improving and if they stay together they could form one of the greatest duos in world football.
Of course, there is interest from Europe’s elite, with Liverpool strongly linked to both Sancho and Bellingham, while Haaland has been touted with a move to almost every club on the continent at this point.
If Liverpool can bring in Sancho and Bellingham it would be a very exciting prospect, but whether or not either of those moves come to fruition remains to be seen.
