Liverpool are reportedly set to join the race to sign highly-rated Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham.
At only 17, Bellingham enhanced his reputation in a huge way earlier this week with his performance in the Champions League away to Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side progressed into the semi-final of the competition, but the English teenager was arguably the stand-out player across both legs and even scored his first goal in this tournament in the defeat in Germany on Wednesday night.
According to Eurosport, Liverpool are among the clubs keeping an eye on his situation at Signal Iduna Park.
And the report adds that the Reds – and other Premier League suitors, like perhaps City themselves – could be boosted by the idea that Bellingham himself does plan on returning to England.
The Stourbridge-born midfielder left Birmingham City to join the Bundesliga giants in a £30 million move last July and Eurosport add that the player himself is keen on testing himself against England’s elite.
It also claims that Borussia Dortmund believe that Bellingham is a £100 million player and therefore a move to Anfield certainly won’t come cheap for Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards, should they be interested.
After the defeat by Manchester City, Peter Crouch said on BT Sport – as quoted by The Mail – that Bellingham was an ‘unbelievable’ and ‘scary’ talent.
