Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen.
It was reported by The Athletic in mid-July that Liverpool are keen on the former Hull City star.
The Reds might need additional wide support this summer due to Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumin Minamino likely leaving the club.
And if rumours are believed, they’re taking a serious look at the West Ham player.
Interestingly, Bowen, a £25 million signing by the Irons in 2020, was left out of the Hammers’ squad on Saturday.
And here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to that development on Twitter:
Omission linked to transfer?
Despite a mixed reaction from Liverpool fans, Bowen is a good player.
But still, there’s no evidence that his omission on Saturday means that a move to Anfield is imminent.
Arsenal-linked James Maddison was left out of the Leicester City squad yesterday and some fans of the North Londoners thought this meant that a switch to the Emirates Stadium was on the horizon.
But really, his girlfriend had just given birth, hence his absence.
It remains to be seen why the West Ham ace didn’t face Brentford but it’s unlikely to be linked to a move to Merseyside.
