Tottenham Hotspur-mad Jamie O’Hara is at that stage again where he starts making his prediction about Arsenal ahead of the new Premier League season.
The former midfielder is known to be outspoken about, not just his own club, but when discussing the rest of the Premier League, especially those across London.
Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season and they are now pushing again to get over that line.
Mikel Arteta is starting to sprinkle his magic again on the team and make the required changes to beat his close friend, Pep Guardiola.
The new season starts in less than a month and Manchester City are trying to win an incredible five-in-a-row.
You feel something somewhere has to give and they have to be dethroned from their crown sooner rather than later.
And if that happens, then Arsenal are waiting in the wings, with O’Hara reacting to the latest transfer rumour from the Emirates.
Sources have told HITC that Arsenal have agreed a fee in principle to sign Riccardo Calafiori, with the Italian defender able to play at left-back and centre-back.
O’Hara stated that ‘it sounds like Calafiori is going to be a good signing’, as he also shared his verdict on their Premier League title chances.
The former midfielder thinks he may have to ‘suffer’ ahead of the new season because Arsenal might now win England’s main crown, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast (22/07/24).
Will Arsenal win the Premier League title?
“Arsenal have agreed a deal with Bologna for Italian fullback, Riccardo Calafiori,” said O’Hara.
“It sounds like it’s going to be a good signing for them. Arsenal winning the league? I think they have a very good chance of winning the league. Massive chance. I think this might be the year I have to suffer it and it’s going to be painful.”

Riccardo Calafiori will fit in at Arsenal
The Italian is very strong defensively and will further strengthen Arteta’s backline – Arsenal had the best defence last season.
But when you are on top, that’s when you enhance your squad and Arteta is making this move at the right time.

If this expected transfer goes through, then someone from within has to leave, with Arsenal told to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko and ‘keep’ Jakub Kiwior.
One thing is for sure, the title-chasers aren’t letting up and they are doing everything in their power to dethrone Manchester City at the top of the table.
