Pundit Don Hutchinson has blasted Eric Dier ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League tie against AC Milan, criticising his poor display in his side’s 4-1 battering to Leicester City.
The £85,000-a-week defender was slaughtered for his showing against Brendan Rodgers’ side, with the likes of Tony Cascarino, Darren Ambrose and Martin Keown giving him stick.
And now, another pundit who has slated Eric Dier for his shambolic performance for Tottenham against Leicester, ahead of his side’s Champions League clash against AC Milan.
Pundit slates Eric Dier vs Leicester ahead of Tottenham-AC Milan tie
Well, the English centre-back was a key reason behind Spurs’ calamitous defending against the Foxes, especially for Kelechi Iheanacho’s striker, where he continued to back off the striker, and virtually gave him an invite to freely pick his spot.

Interestingly, pundit Don Hutchinson was not just critical of the performance but also the antics from Eric Dier for Tottenham against Leicester, a couple of days before the side’s Champions League tie against AC Milan.
“Eric Dier, there’s 2 goals where Eric Dier’s passive and he’s standing off [Kelechi] Iheanacho, doesn’t engage him. Go and close him down. And then Harvey Barnes [referencing the goal he scored], he does the same thing. To make it worse, which I hate, it’s one of my pet hates, he starts pointing at everyone else. ‘You do this, you do that.’ That is Tottenham all over”, he said on The Gabs & Juls Podcast.
The pundit is right about Eric Dier vs Leicester
It has to be said that pundit Don Hutchinson has hit the nail on the head about Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier against Leicester, ahead of the upcoming clash against AC Milan.
If the England international’s performance was not shocking enough, him failing to take responsibility for his actions did not make for a good look. Previously criticised by James McFadden for his defending for Brentford’s goal on Boxing Day as well, it’s high-time Dier weeds out these individual errors out of his game.
