Romelu Lukaku is one of the best players at Everton.

Romelu Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and is in brilliant form at the moment. The Belgium international has scored 16 goals and created 33 chances in 23 league matches so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Lukaku scored 16 goals in 23 league matches for the Toffees. The 23-year-old’s current contract with Everton runs until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, but could he be on the move in the summer transfer window?

Sky Sports pundit suggests a factor which could affect Lukaku’s Everton future

The former Chelsea striker’s agent, Mino Raiola, recently told talkSPORT that the Belgian will sign a new deal with Everton. Manager Koeman, though, has not given any indication that he knows about any ongoing negotiations, but he hopes that the striker does continue playing for the Toffees.

“I didn’t speak to the board about Romelu,” Nsno.co.uk quotes Koeman as saying. “If his agent says he likes to stay and is close to signing a deal then that is perfect for Everton.

“Normally players, if they really see a future in a club, they see the team improving, the team is getting stronger every day, then that is always a plus for players to stay.

Everton are a massive club and have lofty ambitions for the future. It would be great for the fans if Lukaku signs a new contract and continues playing at Goodison Park.

The striker does go through spells when he struggles to score goals, but there can be no denial that he is one of the best strikers in the Premier League.
