Tottenham Hotspur have been told that they could win the Premier League title by signing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea.

The former Ajax winger was heavily linked with a transfer to Spurs toward the end of the summer transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea’s manager at the time, appeared to have very little use for the Netherlands international winger.

But under Graham Potter, the 29-year-old is enjoying something of a second wind at Stamford Bridge.

However, [90 min] Todd Boehly reportedly wants to sell the Tottenham target in January, as covered by HITC Sport.

And Rafael van der Vaart believes that his former club Spurs could genuinely go all the way in the Premier League this season if they snap up Ziyech.

He told Ziggo Sports: “Hakim Ziyech has to join Tottenham. If Tottenham get Hakim Ziyech, they could win the Premier League. I am serious.”

Although Boehly reportedly wants to sell up, Potter seems to be somewhat of a fan of Ziyech.

And let’s be honest, strengthening a direct Premier League rival in the form of the North Londoners wouldn’t exactly be intelligent business by the Blues.

There’s zero upside for Chelsea to sell the player to Antonio Conte’s side and really, he might not get regular football anyway.

When Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski are fit again, which they obviously will be by January, then the Italian manager will set for wide options.

The Tottenham boss already has quality players like Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura in reserve for wide roles so really, Ziyech to Spurs isn’t a go.
