Toward the end of the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech.
Spurs have a multitude of wingers but it would appear as if Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici wanted additional cover in this department.
And according to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad, Tottenham were genuinely interested in the Chelsea attacker.
Nothing materialised, however, and Ziyech failed to secure a transfer away from Stamford Bridge.

But if the North Londoners remain interested, a January move might be a go.
That’s because 90 Min have reported that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has told the club that a permanent sale this winter would be his preference.
The 29-year-old, who earns £100,000 per week in West London, remains on the fringes of the Blues’ plans even under Graham Potter, managing only 120 minutes of Premier League football this season.
With Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski both picking up knocks this season, signing another winger in January wouldn’t be a terrible idea by Conte and Paratici.
That being said, Boehly doens’t need to have been in English football for years to know that Tottenham and Chelsea are massive rivals and therefore one strengthening the other would not be favourable.
But if Spurs are putting up the best offer for the former Ajax forward then who knows what could happen.
