Gary Neville thinks new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has been the one who has managed Daniel Levy at Tottenham Hotspur ‘as well as anybody has’.
The Tottenham chairman can be known to be stubborn, hard to deal with and it’s his way or the highway.
Mauricio Pochettino worked under his stewardship for many years and thrived, including taking them to the Champions League final and now Neville thinks he will be able to do the same at Chelsea, as he told The Overlap.
Todd Boehly marched onto the Premier League scenes last year, spent like crazy and did things his way and his way only.
All of it resulted in a bottom-half finish, a bloated squad, hundreds and hundreds of millions spent, yet the squad needs more investment.
Given what Pochettino had to deal with in the past, in regards to Levy, Neville shared how he will use that to get the better of those at Chelsea.

“He (Pochettino) will be a shield for those (Chelsea) owners,” said Neville. “Just as Klopp has been at Liverpool. He will be.
“What those owners need is someone to front the club. Your manager is going to interviews 3-4 times a week. Pre and post-match. Two and three games a week.
“He speaks well. Everyone trusts him. Fans like him. Opposition coaches and players like him. He will be a very good front for the owners. The owners can slip into the background and continue to do whatever they are doing. I think they have made a smart choice.
“He is smart enough to manage up correctly as well. You have to remember, he managed Daniel Levy over the last 15 years as well as anybody has.”

Levy going backwards at Tottenham
Ever since Pochettino walked out of the doors at Spurs, the club has started to decline in all departments.
And the worst news hit their screens on Thursday when it was claimed that an ‘agreement’ has been reached with Bayern Munich for the sale of the England striker – Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts.
Will he stay or go? No-one is the wiser because it’s now been suggested that he could remain at the club, as Ramon Vega hit out at critics.
