Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp cut a frustrated figure after his side lost 3-2 to West Ham United yesterday.
Alexander-Arnold hurt
Speaking to BeIN Sports, the Liverpool boss expressed his annoyance at some of referee, Craig Pawson’s, decisions during the contest.
Most of Klopp’s angst came from West Ham’s first goal, which he felt should have been ruled out for a foul on Alisson.
The Reds manager was also annoyed that Aaron Cresswell was not sent off for a sliding tackle on Jordan Henderson.
But Klopp also revealed that Alexander-Arnold had to play through the pain barrier.
Liverpool’s right-back was apparently caught when he attempted a volley, which left him with a sore foot, but once again a free-kick was not awarded.
He said: “Trent is limping because first half he takes the ball on the volley and gets a proper knock on his foot, but it’s not even a free-kick.
“We had these situation and that’s one story of the game.
“The other story is that we weren’t completely in charge of the game, and maybe weren’t ruthless enough.”
Blow for Liverpool

Alexander-Arnold actually scored a brilliant goal for Liverpool in their 3-2 defeat.
The full-back curled in a set piece from around 25 yards, but it was not enough to earn his side any points.
The hope for Liverpool will be that Alexander-Arnold quickly shakes off whatever problem he has.
The right-back is due to meet up with the England team over the next fortnight, and there has been no indication that the knock will keep him out of representing his country as yet – which is encouraging for the Reds.
Klopp’s men do not play another game for two weekends’ now, with their next outing coming against Arsenal on Saturday 20th November.
Liverpool’s defeat to West Ham has seen them fall below David Moyes’ side and into fourth place in the Premier League table.
